What to include on a quote
- Your business details
- Your business name, address, email and phone, so the client knows who the quote is from and how to reply.
- Who the quote is for
- The client’s name, and their email and address if you have them.
- A quote number and a valid-until date
- A number to refer to, and the date your price holds until, so an old quote cannot be accepted at an old price.
- The scope of work, line by line
- A description, quantity and unit price for each part of the job. Clear lines prevent disagreements about what was included.
- Tax and discount, shown separately
- Show the subtotal, any discount and the tax rate on their own lines before the total.
- A deposit, if you need one
- A percentage or fixed amount due when the client accepts, to cover materials or secure the date.
- Terms
- What happens next: when the work starts, how the balance is paid, and anything the price depends on.

Is this quote generator really free?
Yes. Making, downloading and printing quotes on this page costs nothing, and you can make as many as you like. You do not need an account, an email address or a card.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Fill in the form and download your quote straight away. An account is only needed if you want to send the quote online from i-quote and get paid by card.
Is anything I type uploaded or stored?
No. The document is built in your browser and nothing you type is sent to i-quote. Your logo stays in this tab and is gone when you close it. If you choose to send it online, the draft is kept in this browser so you can import it after you sign up, and it is uploaded only when you save it in your account.
How does my client accept the quote and pay a deposit by card?
That needs a free i-quote account connected to Stripe. You send the quote from your account, your client accepts or declines it online, and if you asked for a deposit they pay it by card after accepting. The money goes to your own Stripe account at Stripe’s standard processing fee, and the quote becomes an invoice in one click.
Can I add my logo and use my own currency?
Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG logo and pick USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, ILS or MXN, the six currencies the i-quote app supports. Totals, tax and discount are worked out with the same rounding the app uses, so the figures stay the same if you import the quote into a free account.
