Sign up for free at i-quote.app — no credit card required. Choose a unique subdomain for your business (e.g., your-business.i-quote.app), set up your business profile with logo and brand colors, and you're ready to start creating invoices and quotes within minutes.
Not at all. i-quote is designed for business owners, not developers. Everything is point-and-click — from creating invoices to setting up Stripe payments. If you can use email, you can use i-quote. We also offer free onboarding sessions if you want a guided walkthrough.
Most users are up and running in under 5 minutes. Account creation takes about 60 seconds. Adding your logo, colors, and business details takes another 2-3 minutes. Connecting Stripe for payments takes about 5 minutes. After that, you're ready to send your first invoice.
Yes. You can add customers individually through the dashboard, or during onboarding our team can help you bulk-import your existing customer data. Each customer gets their own login to the customer portal where they can view invoices and make payments.
When you sign up, you choose a unique name (like "smith-consulting") that becomes your branded URL: smith-consulting.i-quote.app. This is your business's dedicated portal where clients log in to view and pay invoices. It's automatically created — no domain registration needed.
In your dashboard, click "New Invoice," select a customer, add line items with descriptions and amounts, set tax rates and discounts if needed, and choose a template. i-quote automatically applies your logo, brand colors, and business details. You can preview the invoice before sending it.
Yes. i-quote offers 20+ professionally designed invoice templates. Each template automatically incorporates your business logo, brand colors, and contact information. You can set default payment terms, notes, and tax rates that apply to all new invoices.
A quote (or estimate) is a proposal you send before work begins — it shows the client what you plan to charge. An invoice is a bill you send after work is done (or on a schedule) requesting payment. In i-quote, you can convert an accepted quote into an invoice with one click, so all line items carry over.
Yes. i-quote supports 30+ currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, ILS, JPY, CNY, CAD, AUD, and more. You can set a different currency for each invoice, and the amounts are automatically formatted correctly for the selected currency.
Set any invoice to recur monthly, quarterly, or annually. i-quote automatically generates and sends a new invoice to your client on schedule. You can track all recurring invoices in your dashboard and pause or cancel them anytime.
Absolutely. You can add a percentage-based or fixed-amount discount, and set a tax rate on any invoice. The totals are calculated automatically. You can also set default tax rates in your settings so they apply to every new invoice.
No. You can add as many line items as you need to an invoice or quote. Each line item includes a description, quantity, and unit price, with the total calculated automatically.
Yes. Every invoice and quote can be downloaded as a professionally formatted, branded PDF with one click. The PDF includes your logo, business details, all line items, totals, and payment information. Perfect for your records or sharing offline.
You get a real-time notification when your client opens the invoice. The invoice status updates to "Viewed" in your dashboard, so you always know when clients have seen your billing. This helps you follow up at the right time.
i-quote automatically marks invoices as overdue when they pass the due date. You can set up automatic late fee percentages and payment reminder emails. The system sends overdue notifications to both you and your client, helping you get paid faster without awkward manual follow-ups.
When you send an invoice, your client receives an email with a link to your branded portal. They click the link, view the invoice, and pay securely via credit or debit card through Stripe. The payment goes directly to your connected bank account.
Stripe Connect lets you accept payments directly to your own Stripe account through i-quote. In your Settings, click "Connect Stripe" and follow Stripe's setup process (takes about 5 minutes). Once connected, all payments from your clients flow directly to your bank account.
i-quote charges a 2% platform fee on each payment processed. Additionally, Stripe charges their standard processing fee (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction in the US). So for a $100 payment, you'd receive approximately $95 after both fees.
You need Stripe only if you want to accept online payments through i-quote. If you just want to create and send invoices/quotes without online payment, you can use i-quote without Stripe. Many users start without Stripe and connect it later when they're ready.
Yes. If a client pays less than the full amount, i-quote records the partial payment and updates the remaining balance. The invoice status shows "Partially Paid" with the amount outstanding clearly displayed. Clients can make additional payments until the balance is zero.
Payments are processed by Stripe and typically deposited to your bank account within 2-7 business days, depending on your country and Stripe account settings. You can see all payment activity in real-time in your i-quote dashboard.
Absolutely. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of security certification. We never store credit card numbers on our servers. Your clients' payment data is handled entirely by Stripe's secure infrastructure.
i-quote is available in 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean. The interface fully supports right-to-left (RTL) layouts for Hebrew and Arabic. Users can switch languages from the dropdown in the header.
Yes. On the Starter plan you get 1 user, and on Pro you get up to 3 users (with additional users at $4.99/month each). You can assign three roles: Owner (full access), Admin (manage invoices, quotes, customers), and Viewer (read-only access).
i-quote provides revenue charts over time, top customers by revenue, invoice status breakdowns (paid, outstanding, overdue), monthly trends, and payment analytics. All reports update in real-time as you create invoices and receive payments.
Yes. i-quote supports 13 types of automated emails including: invoice sent, payment received, payment reminders, quote sent, quote accepted/declined, welcome emails, subscription confirmations, overdue notices, recurring invoice generation alerts, and team invitations. All emails are branded with your business identity.
Yes. Every client gets access to a customer portal at your branded subdomain. They can log in to view all their invoices, check quote details, make payments, see payment history, and update their profile. It's like giving each client their own mini-dashboard.
Yes. i-quote is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works beautifully on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop. You can even install it on your home screen for a native app experience. All features are fully responsive with touch-friendly interface elements.
Yes. i-quote is fully white-label. Your logo, brand colors, and business name appear on your subdomain portal, all invoices and quotes, PDF downloads, email notifications, and your customer portal. Your clients interact with your brand, not ours.
Yes. The Free plan is genuinely free with no time limit and no credit card required. You get up to 3 combined invoices and quotes per month, 1 user, a branded subdomain, customer portal, PDF generation, multi-currency support, and all core features. You can use it as long as you like.
If you reach your plan's monthly limit (3 for Free, 25 for Starter), you won't be able to create new invoices or quotes until the next month or until you upgrade your plan. Existing invoices continue to work normally — clients can still view and pay them.
Invoice and quote counts reset automatically on the 1st of each month at midnight UTC. For example, if you're on the Free plan and sent 3 invoices in January, your count resets to 0 on February 1st.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your Settings page. Upgrades take effect immediately so you get access to higher limits right away. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
We're currently finalizing annual billing options that will offer a significant discount. Sign up for our newsletter or follow our updates to be notified when annual plans become available.
Subscription payments are processed through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Payments are billed monthly in advance.
We use industry-standard security including TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, row-level security (RLS) for tenant data isolation, bcrypt password hashing, and regular security audits. Payments are processed through PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant Stripe.
Absolutely not. i-quote uses row-level security at the database level, which means each tenant's data is completely isolated. No business can access, view, or modify another business's customers, invoices, quotes, or payment data under any circumstances.
After cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days in case you want to reactivate your account. After 90 days, all your data — including customers, invoices, quotes, and payment records — is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.
No. We never sell your personal or business data to third parties. We only share data with essential service providers (Stripe for payments, Resend for emails) as required to deliver the Service. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
We are committed to data protection and follow GDPR principles including data minimization, purpose limitation, right to access, right to deletion, and data portability. You can request a copy of your data or request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@i-quote.app.
We support secure authentication through OAuth providers (Google, GitHub) which include their own 2FA mechanisms. We're actively developing native 2FA support for email/password accounts, which will be available in an upcoming release.
